Indigo Storm is a three-piece progressive rock/metal band from Lexington, Ky. Formed in 2017, while the members were in high school, the band consists of Ryan Slayton on drums, David DeWolfe on bass/backing vocals, and CJ Jones on guitar/vocals. The Indigo Storm sound is often compared to contemporary rock and metal acts such as Tool, Chevelle, and Alice in Chains, as well as more classic staples in progressive music like Rush or King Crimson. Driven by a fascination with the complex rhythm and intricacy found in progressive music, the band blends individual influences to generate a sound that is primal and passionate - capable of pushing and pulling you on an immersive journey.
Having performed alongside artists such as Grammy nominated Nothing More and Platinum artist Bad Wolves, as well as Rain City Drive, and Crown the Empire, the band’s live performances are palpable. “We really enjoy our time together on stage. We want the crowd to feel that – become part of what we’re giving. We want to make an emotional connection that will bring them back for more.”
Catching the attention of Grammy winning producer/songwriter Skidd Mills in Nashville, Indigo Storm joined the Skiddco Music roster for production in 2019. The band worked hard on new music through the Covid-19 lockdown period, and in July of 2020, the band released their first EP -“Prelude”- independently, along with their follow-up EP -"Demeter"- in June of 2022, and their latest EP, -"Ceres"- in May of 2023. With more releases on the way, The Indigo Storm catalog has accumulated over 1.3 million total streams across the three EP's. With major editorial and algorithmic playlist support from Spotify, Indigo Storm is rapidly catching the attention of an international audience through their streaming platforms.
